So how did we get here? From a small shophouse unit to our very own central kitchen at Mandai, here’s how we came be!
We started experimenting in the kitchen during the Christmas season back in 2019, when some of our clients (from our sister brands) asked for us to cater. We’ve always stayed true to our beliefs in preparing food from scratch. That the highest quality of food involves a mix of great ingredients, fresh produce and plenty of heart.
That’s us trying out various cooks on duck breast, and butchering brisket we procured from a farm in Australia in our little test kitchen at night. We wanted to serve food that we could be proud of, and recipes were filled with depth and deep flavours -recipes that you could be proud to serve your guests at your special occasion.
We held a little open house at our first kitchen so youcould come down to sample dishes before orderingfor Christmas, posted an event on Facebook and.. boywe didn’t expect a turnout in the hundreds! It was the first time we interacted with so manypeople in our little space. Hearing your words ofencouragement, getting orders in was extremelyheartwarming
We wanted to elevate your events, make your specialoccasions.. special. We had a vision to breathe lifeinto food once again. Guests were treated to a hotel-standard display ofcatered dishes, except it was right at your home!
It wasn’t long before we got more requests for more catering setups. And it wasn’t just pretty florals and aesthetics, we made sure that our food was always the main attraction.
We even had the honour of operating a food truck and met the Madam President in person! Who gave us pretty wise words of encouragement as small business owners.
Smoked meats were one of our specialties, and getting our very own custom smoking cabinet was surreal. Our kitchens smelt of blissful, juicy, roast meats and hickory wood all the time.
If you needed a stunning centrepiece for your event, we’ve got you covered. In display was a large cut of our wood-smoked beef brisket, or an entire slab of salmon for your guests to enjoy.
Alongside our setups, Mini Buffets were taking off aswell. We’d have them packed in large insulated bags,and dispatched up at your desired timeslot. And even without the additional pizzazz of display,you’d be guaranteed delicious, incredibly tasting food.
This year, we’ve decided to take a bold step and carve out a brand on its own. Without leaning on its sister brands, and without it being just a seasonal-exclusive service for just Christmas, or New Year’s.
